For the next step, I have created a 2nd spread sheet just of
the DNA matches I am interested in. |

Then what I have done with the colors is shade any person I
have in common with the known names listed across the top. |

From that information I can focus on the branches that we
have in common. |

DNA HINT - If you show as a match, you are somehow a match.
If you do not show as a match, it does not mean you are not related. It only
means you do not share enough DNA to match, or to match to the other people you
are looking at. I am not a DNA match at any % to known 2nd cousins, once
removed. |

|
IF you are lucky enough to have relatives that are willing to
share their DNA page with you. You could also put in how closely they are
related to the peope in your list and narrow the search even faster. |

Unfortunately there are times when even this will not work. I
have spent time working on matching about 50 of my known DNA matches to a 4th
cousin who also has 50 DNA known DNA matches. We all match to some of each
others DNA matches but we can't find the connection. In this case I had access
to a number of DNA tests for both groups. |
