By this point, you should have built your own tree. You don't
need to add all of the suggestions of census, marriage and phone book listings,
just an accurate mapping of family memebers. |

When trying to find anyone, the easiest way is to look at
someone else's tree. Either to ID that person or trying to find the person you
are looking for. |

Here we are going to look at the 'TREE' column. No tree,
locked tree (not shown here) # People and Unlinked |

NO TREE - doesn't help us unless we can ID our DNA match
another way |
|
|

LOCKED TREE - You can ask, but be careful with what you do
with any info you get from them. They are keeping it private for a reason, not
for you to share with the world. |

# PEOPLE - These will help the most. Often your DNA match
will be the home person, or at least listed in that tree. From here you can
look at their tree, build yours and see where they connect. The more people in
the tree the more likely to be helpful. Trees with less than 10 people are
usually not very helpful. BUT sometimes one name or date is enough to ID the
DNA match. |

UNLINKED - Keep in mind that people who take DNA tests do not
always build thier own tree. I am not anywhere in some of the trees I build. If
you can tell that this is a tree for the correct person, use it as you would a

To get to the next step, go down to the DNA person you wish
to look at and lick on their name to bring up the next screen. |
