IN-SEYMORE - motel
I had read the prior reviews, but
my co-worker was already checking in when I called him that evening.
We
did not have any issues with our stay. The room was clean and quiet and the AC
worked. The room was old, the motel is old, but it wasn't in bad repair.
There was something about the place that made it feel old, I'm not an expert on
that kind of thing, but it may be changes as little as different lights, a good
power wash or a new coat of paint would make the difference.
This one was
not the cheapest place in town so I'm not sure why we ended up here, but for
the right price I'd be back
I guess they have a breakfast, but I didn't
make it into the front office to check it out.

CASH ONLY
Neither of us went for the all you could eat chicken (or whatever it was that
night). I had a pattymelt and the other person had a porkchop sandwich. Both
were more than each of us could eat. Meals come with fries and cole slaw. I
sub'ed a salad for fries and ended up with both. Salad was fresh, pattymelt was
gooood.
Sometimes it's good to put name brands on your menu, like their
'ketchup,' but I just couldn't bring myself to even ask about the soup when it
showed the 'Campbells' icon next to it.
Service was good, not pushy or
overly chatty.
IN-WHITE HOUSE - WAFFLE HOUSE
(As
always) I was greeted when I walked in the door, and someone was at my table
almost right away. As soon as I ordered, I went to use the restroom (short
visit) and the food was on its way by the time I came back. I like that …
mid-day I am on a ½ hour break and need all the time I can get to
actually eat.
Had the basic eggs, bacon and hash browns … they even
asked if that was how I liked my bacon done …
A down side of this
location is there is no big rig parking. I found out the hard way, The closest
is a couple of blocks away (over the hill) at Walmart. |
