PLAZA MOTOR MOTEL
MI-SAULT STE MARIE
NOTE: Unlike most reviews where I am a really cheap big rig driver,
this motel was stayed at while I was on vacation with my spouse.
We got
into Sault Ste Marie with no place in mind and no coupon books to look at so we
turned to the internet and TripAdvisor. (I usually do not read others reviews
before staying somewhere) And when my spouse said that a 'Ma and Pa' place was
rated #1, I was a skeptic. "How many reviews have these other people written."
(I put less credit into someone who has only written one 'glowing' review, few
people are motivated to write / say good things.)
BUT we decided to at
least drive by …
This is the kind of place I like to find, small Ma
& Pa places that are clean and cheap. Our rate was a little more than shown
on line, but it was also the last room they had.
The place is for sale
from what I saw, the people that own this place should open a resort or
something where people stay longer and are more likely to come back for annual
trips.
Our room would have fit right into a Bed and Breakfast, (see
pictures)
I didn't see where I might be able to park a big rig but I'd
find a place if I am ever back this way with one. |
